These are the X-BLADES used on some of the ZTR's like Dixie Chopper, Scag, Bad Boy, etc.

This was something I saw and thought someone might be interested. The people that have used them say they work good.

How did the video relate to the lawn mower blades?

If you watch those razor commercials, the new model always shaves closer and is better than the previous model, I think they're up to 5 or 6 blades now they've been improving them for 60 yrs. I can see it in just a few years, "New improved blade for your mower, 16 blades for a cleaner smoother looking lawn".

JJ,
There are two advantages to these blades as I see it. First you would have a better "flywheel" effect because of the increased weight thus "tip speed" would be improved under load. Secondly, the blades would be more efficient due to twice the lift.

I would personally give them a try. Expect them to be pretty pricey.
