I have a x485 with 320 hrs. on it. When mowing engine will start running rough and start blowing black smoke out of exhaust that smells bad. This is an on+ off thing doing it occasionally. When running full throttle or partial. Have replaced all filters and spark plugs. Also doesn't have the snap at cold startup that it did. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Fuel related, I suspect. Excess amounts.

Double check your gasoline source.. verify that there is no water or debris. There has been more and more service problems due to fuel contamination than ever. Seems the more they charge for gas, the less quality you get!
But, start there, then go further into the fuel system. It is fuel injected, and I'm not any expert on that type of system. If it was a carb, it'd be easy to say have it cleaned.
