Does anyone know if the power integral hitch can be used with 4 suitcase weights on the back? Also, does anyone have one with a 38" box scraper? Or other attachments? How well do they work? I want to use it to keep up a 150' gravel driveway and maybe move some dirt to fill in low spots in the yard.

Thanks in advance.

I have an integral hitch on my 212. I have wheel weights on it. To answer your last question, it should work fine as long as you remember its a garden tractor and not a bulldozer.

Yeah, I kinda figured that it will take a bit many passes to do what I plan on doing with it. But it will also get me some more seat time between mows, and maybe serve a little in the snow. I have the 47" blower as well (new, unused), but have yet to play with it. I just put a ball on the steering wheel after reading some posts. Definitely worth the $12 I paid for it, made steering way more fun and easy. Also plan on getting the cultivator and moldboard plow to go with the integral hitch. Just not a lot of comments or pics on them here.

Thanks

most people use tillers now. Although you can buy the hitch, plow, harrow and cultivator cheaper. also seen blades, and rakes. they used to make a planter. all the old brinly stuff are great collection items.

Did you get the power hitch? I just ordered an X530 and need advise on this and box scraper before I buy them.

have a funny feeling you will need to stack wheel weights on. Pics in brochure look like suitcase weights wont work. who is your dealer?

HELP! I need to decide in the power integral hitch and box scraper.

I have the x500. I use the JP universal powered sleeve hitch. I also have the 38" box scraper.

While the John Deere powered sleeve hitch was not an option for the x500, not having a powered sleeve hitch was not an option, hence the Johnny Products hitch. So go powered, you will be glad you did.

In regards to the box scraper. Lots of people own these and get some good use from them. I got my money out of one when I had fresh gravel delivered. It worked well for that. They are not very good at all if you are using them on hard packed gravel or earth. It is not heavy enough and the scarifiers are to flimsy for that. The material your working needs to be fairly loose.

I have read that people who have experience with both the 38" JD/Brinly and the 42" Agri-fab say the 38" JD/Brinly is better built and works better. That said these are really your only choices, unless you build a better one yourself. Personally I am looking at purchasing a 48" blade from Kolpin and adapting it for sleeve hitch use. Just thinking.

After poor performance on my 600' hard packed drive, I purchased a DR power grader and it does what I need, for two years now.
