Hi All,
New to this forum, since I'm finally ready to buy a high quality garden tractor. Have spent the last 10 years mowing and blowing with a Craftsman (with only 2 minor breakdowns), but now it is time for power steering, power lift and something that'll last me for 15 or 20 years. And maybe a smoother ride with a heavy tractor on rough prairie grass.
That leads me to the X530. Seems perfect for mowing 2-3 acres (rough and somewhat hilly), blowing a 300' gravel driveway and maybe a little bit of box scraper work. I live in ND where we might get anywhere from 30"-90" of snow.
I've heard lots of good things on the X530... but anybody have some negative experiences I might want to be aware of? (besides the price and RIO)
Price quote I have is:
X530: $5,800 (2011, still in crate)
47 Blower, chains, rear weights, grill cover: $2,000
Seems like the pricing is about what I'm seeing for low-time used one's on machinefinder, so I 'think' it is a good deal for a new one. (still makes my eyes water!)
Thanks for any feedback!
