I have 423 hours on it and bought it with 400 hours. A great tractor, no problems that I know of. What are the common problems with the 585s? I would like to find a 54 inch deck just because my yard is way too small for the 62. I have used the loader some and am happy with it for what I paid for the loader. I am going to try and get some pictures attached. I only have a couple and neither have the plow on it.

I did get a reversible wear edge for my plow on ebay. It's a white poly and it's nice. I was hoping it would work a little better. It came from Heavy Hitch. It doesn't scrape as well as the metal edge and the corners fold around and wear funny fast. I was thinking of trying to find a bolt on wear edge for the loader.

Another thing I was thinking about has anyone adapted a 60 inch plow to the front or tried to make a hydraulic v plow for an x585 or similar tractor? I thought the 4wd would pull the front end when I turned while pushing snow but since I have the weights hanging on a click n go bracket it seems to slide. I have plowed once or twice with out the weight and it does ok. I plow quite a few drives with my mower in the winter for a little extra money. I have done up to 30 drives in one snow before but I have kept it under 20 each snow any more. I realism they are garden tractors and not commercial snow plows.

I plow quite a few drives with my mower.....

That sounds interesting... but does it work well? :D

Nice looking rig, and agree that a 54" deck is a plus.
Lifting a bit on the front plow will help with the steering, otherwise the individual left/right brakes help. ... along with less angle to the blade for the tough spots moving snow.
Your V-plow would be a neat build... but might get a bit too heavy. Don't know that for sure.

Great for driveway plowing. I do admit that my warm truck cab spoils me with the heat on!

Oh I have a truck with a boss 8 2 power v plow that I use a lot but I like doing driveways with the garden tractor. A much nicer job can be done with the garden tractor and folks pay more that way.
