X595 will not start

I have had trouble starting my tractor when it's been cold outside but it's always started, if not the 1st try usually by the 2nd. Now tonight it's 10 degrees with a wind chill of 10 below. Tractor will not start. I'm guessing the fuel is gelled up, is there anyway I can tell if that's the problem?
Also wondering if maybe the glow plugs are bad.... Thanks for any help

12Volts, try power service first.

If you have a clamp on current meter you could see if the glow plugs are drawing enough amps to work. Just a guess but about 10 amps per cylinder I think. About the gelling fuel if that in fact is the problem you might try a hair dryer to warm up the lines to get it running. Might also try a couple of small electric heaters on either side of the engine to warm it up. I use fuel conditioner to prevent this problem in all of my diesels. Once you get it running adding the conditioner (with anti gelling additives) and allow it time to mix and run through all the lines and injector pump.

Good to see if you have the 12 volts at the glow plugs but if the glow plugs are burned out or open you can still read the 12 volts and not have them work. Checking for the current draw will indicate if the glow plugs are working.

I checked voltage at the glow plugs on all 3 cylinders and the center plug does not have any voltage. Does that mean it's a bad glow plug or relay?
