Thanks to all. I will move the rig around to the back and commence to shrub pulling. No I don't do this everyday, this is a one time project. I realize I have a L&G tractor, not an AG or construction tractor. I am a new owner of my eventual retirement plot of 18 acres rolling hills, wet lands, forest. Just clearing a few trails, that once cleared, can be maintained with the mower. The X748 came with the land as well as a 6x4 gator. I will use the X748 with 7-iron deck to mow about 5.5 acres, the rest is in USDA CRPS, wetlands, or forest. I only plan on adding a small 4 ft box blade to maintain the gravel road once a year or so.
CalG, I always understood HST as a pump that provides fluid volume over time (GPH, LPM, etc). Pressure is the resistance to that flow of fluid. If the HST Pump is at maximum flow, (Diesel at WOT), why isn't a fully depressed "go pedal" applying the maximum flow to the hydraulic motors (Drive Train)? Perhaps, a bit too nerdy for this thread.
Thanks again to all.
