Actually just bought it last Fall and I used the backhoe until a week ago and I removed the backhoe and went to put the three pt linkage on and discovered the pin installation issue. My dealer told me that LS had a fix for that issue for the Mt series but wasn't sure about the xj. I called LS and they said they would get back to me.
With the 125, there is a kit available at additional cost, not sure about the 2025. I found it's not necessary to remove it again to use the BH. The arms raise enough to get out of the way. I use shock cords to hold them up and to the sides. I did have to remove the metal PTO shield though. No 'tube' stuff required.
thanks to everyone for the info. when I bought it the backhoe was mounted and the 3 pt wasn't so I will install the 3 pt. and try to hook up the backhoe with it on minus the pto shield it sounds like.

If the pin is off, to initially install it requires wheel removal. Once its on, the three point linkages can be removed by taking the retaining clips off both sides of the pin. Slide it all the way to one side and the opposite side linkage will drop off. Slide it all the way to the other and the remaining linkage will drop off. Slide the pin back to the normal position and reinstall the retaining clips. Leave the pin on- no need for wheel removal again. You can install the backhoe without removing the three point hitch arms but its a pain in the ***. Easier to take the arms off and on and necessary if using Pat's quick hitch as I do.
