Tractor
looking to buy
Good evening, I'm buying 27 acres this week in North Alabama to start a homestead/farm. Have determined 45 hp tractor should large enough to meet my needs. I'm kinda down to LS XR 4145 or kioti Nx 4510. Both 4wd, HST. Any input on either tractor would be greatly appreciate. This is my first tractor. I will definitely be finding dealer that will support the tractor. Have talked to a couple on the phone that seem honest, that will visit my property and fix Warrenty issues for free. Thanks

Check out my YouTube channel (if you havent already). I have the LS XR4145C. It is shuttle shift instead of HST, but that is the only difference.

I don't know much about the Kioti, mostly because when I learned of the LS brand, my searching stopped. I found the tractor I would buy. It has really been an amazing machine for the abuse I do to it.

And welcome to the forum! :welcome:

I've actually seen a few of your videos already, will check out some more, you would buy the XR 4145 again?

Yup. Without question....

Now, let me say, if I had more money to spend on it, I would actually look into the MT573CPS from LS. Slight larger overall, bigger engine, a TON more features. No idea on the price difference, but I assume it probably close to double what I paid for the XR.

So, with my same budget, yes. I would definitely purchase the XR4145C again. If I had more money, it would be the MT573CPS.

I have a XR4150, shutter shift, open. I am in the Tuscaloosa area. My dealer in Coloumbia. Everything has been fine so far. I like the size of the tractor for what I use it for. I have all four tires filled. I don't have a problem with HST, but I wanted shutter. Cabs are great if you don't have to go under trees. I looked at other brands but I think I got more for the money with LS. plan on keeping it a lot of years.

I’ve got a 4145HC, and it’s been great for the past 130 hours or so. Watch branches in the tree line - I just ripped one of the work lights off the cab the other day (I’ve got an LED light bar I was going to install anyway). I guess that’s what happens when you’re paying attention to the other side of the cab :)

That machine is a beast - it’s only let me down once trying to move a tree, but in its defense, the tree is still partially rooted, so I really can’t fault the tractor.

We’ve got 17 acres in Missouri, and it tackles the hills, rocks, trees, and mowing with aplomb.

It takes everything I throw at it. I would absolutely buy one again.

Only 40 hrs on my 4140 with Cab and HST. Wish I had gone for a 50HP but only because I blow snow and we get a lot (135")

So far no issues but it is new. Dealer support is fantastic. Like you no charge for pickup and delivery and I am an hour away. Dealer included the 50 hr service at no charge.

I did a lot of shopping and LS was not even a consideration when I started. Best value out there in my area. No Kioti or RK close by.
