XR3037hc price check

Long time reader, first time poster.

My wife and I are currently looking at the 3037hc for our new property. We have 52 very hilly acres (Mostly wooded) along with a mile long drive (half of the driveway is paved). We think this size tractor would be perfect for our garden, 3 acres of fields, finish mowing around house, as well as helping us clear our 45 acres of woods. Accordingly, we were at the local dealer today and they quoted us 28k for the tractor, loaded tires, loader, fast attached front snow blade, and free delivery. We wanted to see if this was a fair price or see if we can do a little better. Also, we wanted to know how everyone's LS 3037hc has been and if any issues have come up.

We really appreciate everyone's help!

Mine is 1 year and 4 months old and I only have about 80 hours on mine. (not used much in summer, main use is snow plowing). No problems so far. It does go into regen mode about every 4 -5 hours but hasn't affected operation. Local rep says that's normal. I use mine on 2 - 5 acre properties plus a few neighbors driveways. A few others have had parking brake problems (not holding on a slight grade) but I have not had the problem so may just be on a select few tractors. Their dealers are working to correct it.
I paid about 1K less but that was 16 months ago. I bought mine with a 7' 6" snow pusher box blade. I loaded my own tires. I think your price is fair.

I don't claim to know everything but I think you are looking at to small tractor for the amount of land you are looking to clear and work.

Thank you for the reply! I should of been more clear about clearing the land. All I meant is to keep ATV trails and hunting/shooting lanes open. For the most part, the woods will stay wooded. Our biggest issue is size as we want something to fit on the old logging roads /atv trails while at the same time being able to grade and clear the driveway.

We really value all opinions as we have been back and forth on this very issues.

Well I am sure the LS do you fine. They are good machines and have a price point that is even better. They are coming out with new engines that run longer before burn off I would check that out too.

It really doesn't matter which size LS you buy.

Just saying cuz,

I Just Wish I'd bought The Next Larger Size!

I'm still lusting and coveting a 4046, :2cents:

But I love my 3037!

I hope that is the case as we think the 3037 is too big for what we want, but my wife made it very clear that she never wants to get stuck in the house if the weather is bad (we are 1 mile off of the road).

As of now, we are keeping up with the property with an old John Deere 12 hp mower, ATV, trailer, and hand tools. My grandfather and great uncles joke around a lot about me buying a tractor as they all grew up on farms and said they got by with more hard work than tractors. That being said, I am tired of grading the driveway by hand and keeping up with the land using the aforementioned tools after working 10-12 hours a day at my regular job.

Thanks for all the suggestions and keep them coming! As a side note, we spoke with the dealer today and he stated that 28k was the lowest he could go but would also install a radio, cd player, etc. for the tractor as I do not think that is standard equipment with that tractor. The dealer also noted that they will come to my house to perform any service that they can in our garage for a small fee vs. taking to their shop if anything goes wrong (This is a huge plus to us, especially as this dealer has been under the same ownership for at least 35 years).

Believe me, when you get that tractor you'll wonder why you didn't buy one years ago.
