I'm looking at buying a new XR4150H. I take it has a new engine and other components.

My conservative side is worried about some thing that new. Are there any bugs/issues?

The new XR 3100/4100 series tractors have the new inhouse LS made engine. I haven't heard from anyone who has purchased one yet. The XR 3000/4000 series have the Shibaura engine. A lot of older LS tractors had the Mitsubishi engine. I haven't heard of any engine problems with the mitsubishi or Shibaura. The LS engine is too new to know if all the bugs (if any) have been worked out.
I've only heard a couple complaints on the older XR series mainly with brakes and one member now has some electrical issues.
I haven't had any problems with my XR.

With hindsight being its usual 20/20, I might have waited and bought the new tractor with LS Engine. Bought our XR4046 HC last November right before the new models were announced.

I think that there are still a lot of the XR4XXX's out there if you don't want to take a risk. Our XR4046HC has been a great tractor!

My dealer should have one on the lot now. But I don't make it out that direction often. They conducted the high altitude test with LS here in Colorado, they said that the turbo makes a nice difference. They did have to change some things based of feedback from using it above 9k, mostly the regen cycle and the DPF clogging, but thats why the do the testing.

If I had known the turbo 4 cylinder was coming out I would have waited also. @ 7000 ft the turbo 3037 was about the same HP as the 4046, but I wanted the bigger frame.

I have no complaints with mine. And would upgrade if I could just for the turbo.

So I bought a XR4145H, and it now has a little over 27 hours. When I got it home and started using it, it seemed like it was down on power, and would not pull its self in high range. I called my dealer ( Hirsch Feed in West Plains MO), they came and picked it up, kept it for a week, found the problem to be a faulty EGR valve. This was replaced under warranty. When it was fixed they delivered it back to me, and now it is a beast. The loader has lifted way more than I thought it would. The operators station is very well laid out, and very comfortable. I would not hesitate to buy another LS tractor if the need arises.

I recently bought an XR4145 (gear shift) with the new LS engine. I'm at only 8 hours on the clock so far but I have nothing but good things to say about it. Tons of power, very smooth, quiet, and comfortable. The new engines have the exhaust regen at 50 hours, instead of every 4 or so from the earlier tier 4 models. I'm not anywhere close to that yet but it doesn't seem like a big deal. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I needed it.
