XU 6168C Power Loss

Got a 6168 with 51 hours, has power loss almost like a diesel truck in limp mode or turbo not working, anyone have any similar issues ? No engine codes or lights on, very weird. Did a force regen (tier IV motor ) no change ! I got what looks like a diaphragm actuator goes to some type of valve inline behind turbo, does not budge, maybe its frozen. The thing that sucks is the dealer is 2 hours away, he's got an LS tech coming tomorrow, gonna try to troubleshoot over the phone, or he has to come pick this thing up. Tractor had lots of power, no complaints, its an animal, until this.

Sounds like your wastegate is stuck open allowing all the exhaust to bypass the turbo. You'd have no power because the turbo wouldn't make any boost.

Geez thats somewhat what I figured, why would it freeze up with only 51 hours and its garaged ??

Maybe it has something to do with the 50 hour Regen? Odd it happened at 51 hours. Very interested in the outcome, I'm looking at buying the same tractor.

It happened right after the regen, then I did a force regen with the switch just in case it was still dirty. I'll find out today. I gotta tell ya I shopped every brand, was gonna go for a New Holland or CaseIH, but they were 10k more for same machine and the chassis tag says LS anyway. If you buy out of state, and ship to NY, no tax, and my dealers price shipped to me was cheaper than any LS dealer I called by a few thousand. I think the machine is a quality unit with lots of bells and whistles, I put a Ford tractor decals on the hood, everyone keeps saying, wow nice machine didn't know Ford was making tractors again LOL

Tech says its the EGR valve, has seen a few with same symptoms, EGR cured it . Says the waste gate wont open unless the computer tells it to ? I revved it up good and never saw it open. Oh well EGR should be here tomorrow.

OK meant to let you guys know but fell asleep, it was exactly as I first thought, in limp mode, but no lights on dash showing, my dealer is 2 hours away, he picked it up, reset the computer and brought it back to me no charge. So if you go into regen, let the tractor do its thing, I think me cancelling the regen made it go into limp mode. The dealer said they do have the button to cancel it, which I pressed, but you can just keep working the machine or just let it sit at the high idle for 15 minutes till its done, dam technology. But on the plus side it runs awesome .
