I saw the package on here about a month or so ago, and knew it was the right item for my uses. A lot of my gators time is spent in the stalk fields around our farm. With the farm no-tilling all of the soybeans, we have about thirteen hundred acres of corn stalks to do damage to the gator all winter and spring!

For those that haven't seen, the kit has some pretty beefy CUV guards for both the front and rear, plus the HD skid plate. It took me about an hour to do the install, but if I had gone to the farm to use the impact wrenches, it would have taken about 20 minutes.

Nice lookin' machine, PLEASE DON'T TAKE ME WRONG .... I'm not knocking anything. But I would just about have to agree with Tommy 4x4, if there is a stick or stob out there, it will find it's way threw 'em holes. Might wouldn't hurt to find you some small pieces of metal , cut 'em and bolt them on to cover up them holes. I would imagine them holes are there for washing out purposes, but , I'd rather spend a few more minutes cleaning out behind boot savers, than to spend hours & hours replacing and forkin' out that money ....

I also, use my utility vehicles on the farms, corn, milo, soybean stalks has ALWAYS found a way to get into something, no matter how safe you play it !!! With the price of farm fuel, seeds, and fertilizers going out of site, a person don't want to spend no more than he has to keeping things running on the farm !!!!
I know on many farms down here in the south, that many plantation owners are using utitliy vehicles for running around to keep the fuel cost down in the farm trucks and equipment .....

But, they do look good, along with your machine !!!!

Why would you guys run his stuff in the ground? Yours are far from perfect. You are not the only one here that can fabricate.

The main purpose of these is to keep the corn stalks out. I understand they aren't perfect, but they are a vast improvement on what came stock. Most of our stalks are about 18" tall, so these CV guards take the initial hit and get them to lean. This prevents the stalks from coming up underneath and going thru the holes on the bottom.

Maybe I should just add a 7" lift so I could have 18" of ground clearance!! That would work also!

I'm sure Tommy can give me some lift advice...any suggestions?!

wasn't trying to run nuthin into the ground. all i did was point out the flaws in it. as for as a lift for the xuv i really don't mess with them because of this sole fact of everytime o offer my opinion someome trys to pop up and say something. sorry guys i'll stay to helping out the rtv owners they are alot nicer. none of my coments was directed to you "claykin22" sure i could make a set of stickstoppers for that xuv that would totally block that shaft but why ? i'll stick to the rtv's if anyone needs help they can "pm" me.

Those sure look good Tommy. I like the diamond plate. It looks like you even made a drain w/a cover. I wouldn't mind that feature, but a lot of the XUV owners probably just order the kit when they order their XUV, and never would know how to clean them out...so JD just leaves some holes in them to help the process.
I still don't see where holes in the bottom are going to leave a whole lot to chance, but having everything covered, insures that point.

Did you get your 1100 in yet?
