I know this XUV noise has about been talked to death but now I am experiencing it so I am looking for some other instances others may have had. I will pay attention this time. I have had the new XUV since about February or March when they first came out. I like the machine and would buy one again. I traded in a HPX which I also liked (except for the ride). The HPX was very quiet, the XUV is very noisy. I heard many tell of front end noise but it seems there is a little noise coming from everywhere. Some noise I may imagine after reading so many threads about the suspect front end noise around the front differential.

I went to my dealer and asked if they had any recalls or service bulletins. He didn't think so but would check. He put my serial number in the computer and it came back with about 2 pages of updates. Most updates dealt with putting the front drive line within tolerances.

I am asking if anyone out there had had this adjustment done and if it made any difference. The whole machine seems to vibrate some when accelerating and at top end. For comparison sake I have also driven the Polaris Ranger and the Ranger has about twice the vibration as the XUV. The XUV rides similar to the Rhino in smoothness and vibration.

i don't have an answer on the noise but i do say one about the hpx if i was to run it in 4x4 in high gear fast then it will throw out the front shaft. but if i run it in 4x4 low gear it runs fine. try running the xuv in low gear wide open and see if the noise is still there. i have a feeling it's speed related just like the hpx is. to me the hpx and xuv was never designed to go over 25mph. my hpx does 30mph and when i open it up thats when i have problems with my 4x4 so i never open it up in highgear infact i never run past haft throttle anymore.the hpx/xuv are workers and then players but they are mainly workers .now i'm not saying they ain't no good they are as tough as they come but they ain't gonna go run out and jump no sand dunes with the rhino's and ranger's. but try the low gear thing with the 4x4 engaded and without it engaged and see if the noise is louder or the same.

just my opinion!

see my other post about the fix for the front diff noise.

The only other rattle I have with my XUV is from the back. I traced this to the bed. It goes away if I power the bed up a little and then back down.
