Ya\'ll Win! Don\'t re-invent the wheel.
I wanted to Thank everyone that responded to my post about welding chain on my bucket and loader arms. There is a lot of experience on this site that I don't think you could duplicate anywhere else. After struggling hard with this I'm going to go with two 2" receivers welded on the top of the bucket above the bucket attachment brackets it appears very strong and that way I can still change as needed but have something really stout to attach to. I bought the two 12" receivers at Northern Hydraulics for 14.99 each they are made by Buyers and about half the price of TSC. I cut them off to 9" so that they will be flush with the top edge of the bucket. When I dropped them off at the dealer this morning and picked up the chain I could tell that my salesman was relieved as well at my decision as he was not in favor of chains either. Again Thanks so much for all of your input and for not letting me make my first but not last mistake. The dealer tells me the BTR grapple bucket shipped last Friday so I should have the Tractor at the ranch by this Friday if all goes well with the hydraulic plumbing for the BTR grapple.
