yanmar 1100

Looking at a yanmar 1100 tractor,called the seller and he said it has no hour meter and no 3 point hitch.Is that the way the tractor came?Are parts a problem?

Conversion parts will cost several hundred $ and still not be quite as nice as a factory 3 point. Parts are somewhat available, but it is not one of the models with highest parts availability. Very light machine at app. 900#, and nowhere near capable of the work a YM1500 can do. We have never sold that model and stopped selling 1300s after our first year or so. They're just too small to be effective and priced too close to 1500s (which can do some serious work) to justify bringing them in for us.

Gotta agree with Wayne on the 3 point conversion. I should know as I bought a 1510 with this conversion from him and am now trading it back in to him for a 1610d w/FEL...shoulda bought a machine like that right from the git-go, but live and learn and all that.

Are you considering that 1100 that's on eBay right now? The price is certainly right. If I had more money/space AND it was a little closer to me than SC I would pick it up just to play around with....

We have an 1100 and a YM 135 they run great an we haven't had any problems getting parts. We bought the 135 for parts because the engine was blown but when we got it here we put new pistons in it, cost around $900 for all the parts and rebuilt it. It has the belly mower deck makes our yard a lot easier to cut since it's almost 6 acres. The 1100 has the bush hog on it most of the time and we put the tiller on either one when we need to use it. These are the best running machines we ever had. Eventually we'd like to get one a little bigger but until we find the right deal these fit our needs. It helps that we have a John Deer 310 back hoe to help with the heavy stuff.
