Hi, we recently bought a Yanmar 1401 with tiller. When we tried to use it, the tiller kicked up and hit my husband in the back, very hard. Had it not been for the seat back, he could have been seriously injured. He put it in as slow a gear as possible and tried again. Same thing! The former owner said he had owned and used it for years. Also said that he had been tilled some new ground that never had been tilled, with some big rocks in, and it had kicked up and broke a piece. He knocked off $100 for us to get it fixed, but did not mention anything about dangerous etc. We got it fixed and tried it on some ground that had quite a bit of grass on it, but had been tilled with a 6 ft tiller a couple of months ago. He also mentioned putting new tines on it. Could we be missing something? We are not new to tractors, currently owning 4 besides this one ranging from 40 to 90 HP, but this is our first pto tiller. Anybody have any advice. We sure need some. Here is a link to a picture. http://www.kodakgallery.com/imaging-site/services/doc/5259:388994021212/jpeg/BG/async
