yanmar 1500
hello everyone iam new to the forum as of now. I spent 8 hours on the road yesterday to pickup a yanmar 1500 tractor. does anyone know where I can download a owners and sevice manual. iam interested in any and all attachments for it. my main plans on buying it was to plow snow at my my home and use it for mowing and the garden. so any and all input on this would be awesome. the tractor appears in good condition and all I have done is back it off the trailer and put it in my garage at this point. and the tires look new but what are rice tires

thankyou

Sent you a pm. Rice tires have deeper lugs and are made for running in Rice fields (water covered). I believe Hoye sells owners manuals. The service manual would be for the closest US sold Yanmar. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. :welcome:

Welcome, A service and parts manual are very helpful indeed! As far as the rice field tires goes, i like them when clearing under brush and rolling downed trees etc.. While working on the 3.5 acres behind my shop/barn going thru the briars and such. Anyways GoodLuck and enjoy.

Yea Hoye has all the parts you would need at basically the best prices and service. Fredericks is there also and many love it as well. I just find their online catalogue more cumbersome and I think it lacked pricing??? I just don't remember. Hoye earned my business the times I have delt with them so I am loyal.

The owners and operators manuals and factory and aftermarket manuals will pop up on ebay from time to time. You will need to find the one for the American twin which is (im no expert) but probably something like the 185/186 model or something? You don't want the original ym1500 manuals , except parts maybe (numbers are numbers) unless you can read Japanese.

Rice tires are basically like R1 American ag tires but the lugs are taller esp on the outer edges. they are like paddles for the muck in a rice paddy. they are good like said for field work, esp in big briars and such as I feel it holds the tractor tire caseing off of the briar for the most part and helps lessen punctures but anyway they are good tires and basically will last until they dry rot they have so much tread. In your yard you will mark it all up unless you have a hard yard or you only mow when absolutely dry.
