YANMAR 165D INFO NEEDED

Trying to get some info on this tractor for a friend. Add in the paper say Yanmar 165D 500 hrs. 4wd, loader, Rfm. $4700, can anybody give me the detail on this unit or point me to a page where i might get the info. THANKS

Off the top of my head
16hp gross
3 banger
liquid cooled with water pump
most likely power shift (perk)
nice factory loader (if that is what it is?)

Great little tractor for around the house or small farm
Price is good if it comes will everything you said, and it's not beat up. 500 hrs. is not alot if taken care of

Parts support is good from Yanmar on this unit still (I think?)

Short of purchasing an owner's manual, you won't find much, if any, info on US model Yanmars; however, the price sounds right and if it looks good I would buy it for that. (Where did you say it was located /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif?)...I see you are in upstate NY, if that's where the tractor is, that's an especially good price, depending on condition.

Just for the sake of correct information, the YM165 is a later (Red) edition of the YM155. So the YM165D is:

16 hp
4x4
2 cyl
no water pump
straight gear tranny

Still roughly equivalent to the YM1300D. The YM169 was the 3 cyl with water pump, but still a gear tranny - roughly equivalent to the YM1401.

I have now owned a 1982 165d for about 7 years; accumulated 200 hours for 700 total on machine. It is 2 cyl, 4WD, standard (not power or shuttle) shift, not power-assisted steering, thermosiphon (no water pump), 3 frd & 1 rev speeds plus 2-spd Hi and Lo. It was originally and remains red with a black frame and drive train. It has a frame-mounted BH and a FEL made for Yanmar in the US (maybe by Johnson Hyd). The FEL has its own hyd pump on frnt of machine. Tractor and attchmnts are designed and manufactured very well. I have had no trouble finding parts.
