I'm looking for an approximate value on a Yanmar 169 D with a frontloader, 16 hsp, ROPS, 4 X 4, wheel weights, looks to be in good shape, 380 hours, R1's. Not sure of the year.
Thanks.

Did those have a 3-digit hourmeter, or four?

If it is really only 380 hours and assuming it looks as nice as 380 hours suggests, that would be over $6,000 asking price on the west coast.

That is the US equivalent of the 1401D in the grey tractors. According to an online chart the 1401D with ROPS from an individual in very good condition should bring about $3700 so with loader and extras maybe $5700-6500. That seems pretty high for that size of tractor, but maybe.

Thanks guys. Sounds like $3,700 to $6,000, quite a range. Maybe pricing is location sensitive. I'm in New England and I only have experience with Kubotas.

Maybe pricing is location sensitive.

It is sensitive to a lot of things. Location, time of year, and condition are the biggest. It is very hard to get a good estimate on private seller cost with these tractors. When we were doing our "what is it worth" chart we looked at about a years worth of ebay sales and local newspaper & craigslist listings to get private party prices. Those prices could vary a lot! It really just depends on how bad the buyer wants the tractor and how fast the seller wants the cash. The same tractor may sell for $700 one month and $3,500 the next.

Make that $5000-$6000. The $3700 was without FEL.

Around here you are lucky to get $3500 for a 2000 series or higher (-FEL). I would never give over 3k for anything smaller then a 2000. just my .02

Well a YM2000 simply is what it is, just-right in size, simple, low maintenance, near indestructible.

But add Powershift and 4x4, and I think the next smaller sizes with these features should at least equal YM2000 in price.
