The YM1700 is a Gray Market tractor. There are no Repair Manuals known for them. We tend to do is this, look to see what engine model ID being worked on, then find a US YM or a John Deere machine with the same or close enough engine made by Yanmar. For the most part this tends to work.
There is an overall repair manual in English as,

in the manual section on the YTOG. Snag this one.
YM1700 = 2TR17-A
We do know the YM2000 with the 2TR20-A is the same machine as the YM240. Often you will see the parts manual of the YM1700/YM2000 together as both share many components. It would be suggested to snag the YM240 service repair manual as well,

The YM195 has the 2T84-A engine. Its a little more distant to the 2TR17-A in the YM1700. It can be of 'some' help,

The only valid John Deere model is the JD650 with the Yanmar 2T80UJ. Look for the TM1242 manual in the YTOG.
