I have a 1601D, wanted a spare key, and was told that a JD850 key would fit. Bought one from the local John Deere dealer and it works fine. Bet the JD 850 switch would work too.
I think if you search the TBN forums, you will find the JD model for your machine and a JD dealer might stock the parts you need.
There are also Yanmar tractor dealers on TBN that can get most anything for you.
BTW, my 1601D's original rear tires needed replacement and my first look at Hoye Tractor solved that problem with *exact* replacements.
