Buying Advice yanmar 1900

Winston I like how you modified your exhaust!! My 2210d is straight up like most of them, and it doesn't bother me, however when I got my 155d it was horizontal with the tip pointed down towards the ground, and for some reason I was always getting exhaust in my face and I don't know why. I ended up turning the tip of the exhaust outward and leaving the muffler horizontal and problem was solved.

Yea I like moving the exhaust, I'll play around and see what I can do with it. The real fix is rings which is a project I might do once I retire! It uses oil like crazy so I have to keep a close eye on that.

I have a YANMAR 1900, 1975-1979. I am in France and cannot get parts for it and am not finding what i need on the net either... The lever (to the right of the seat), forward the lever and the lift arms go down, push the lever backwards and they go up. The rod that this lever moves forwards and backwards, which in turn moves the 'Y' shaped part forward and backwards and depresses and releases the two hydraulic pistons (under the front of the seat). This rod was damaged and was re-welded by the local mechanic. Now when the lever is pushed forward it will not stay in the forward position and it will return it self to a center vertical position, resulting in the lift arms raising themselves and the cutting deck two foot high, momentarily lifting the front wheels off the ground and shaking/rattling the tractor and me!?* I have made adjustments under the seat etc, but this has not helpt. Any suggestions on how to remedy this problem is greatly received and/or where i could buy a replacement part? Many Thanks

Are parts 57 thru 62 in place? If so and in good condition maybe you nee to loosen locknut 60, then tighten nut 61 a little, then tighten locknut 60. Should be a good friction drag with your lever when moving up and down.

Is spring 38 in place? THREE_POINT_CONTROL: Yanmar Tractor Parts

You should have #46,45,42,58 linkage connected to your Lift Arm. You need to set and Adj. that. If the arm goes higher than you want it to go, It doesn't let the arm move to higher than that point. It overrides the Lift/Lower handle to your right. Releases the Tension on the Hyd. 3Pt. valve. If I'm understanding this correctly? Here's a Pic. of mine on a Early model YM2000 so I would imagine it to be the same..

Look at Hoyetractor.com diagrams for YM2000. I think YM1900 is approximately an earlier version of YM2000 with many parts the same.

YM2000 parts are available in the US. I don't know about sources in Europe. Also, YM240 was a version of YM2000 made for English-speaking countries. You might find a YM240 parts source in Britain, maybe Scandinavia? And YM240's Operation Manual etc might be the only non-Japanese-language documentation that is similar to YM1900.

Hoye Tractor will ship internationally if they have the item. Now I know that gets expensive having shipped things to Europe. But expensive shipping is a way to get an item and better than not having it!

I say they will ship cause I have seen others posting of ordering parts from in Europe and having them shipped. You probably will need to send an email/help ticket on their site and inquire about shipping options.

Hallo! winston1, carey063, California, clemsonfor. Thank you for all your advice. Im currently waiting for a new battery for the tractor and so i havent yet been able to experiment with your suggestions, but will do so asap. Here is a photo of the area im dealing with and what it looks like!?* I recently spoke with the owner of a 'mini tractor garage' here in Normandy and he said he cannot and does not deal with YANMAR model YM1900 as it is impossible to get any parts and that i would even have trouble finding any in Japan! Im not deterred, i will continue as there must be one rotting away somewhere. I dont think its possible to remove the part and have a new one engineered, as the part i have had seized (i didnt know!) and then snapped when i tryed to move the up-down lever. I had a local tractor guy weld the two parts together but he didnt align the two parts correctly and this i believe is the cause of my problems! and now i dont have a 'correct/original part to copy... My search goes on! I shall leave any future developments on here, to let you know how it whent!?* Best Wishes Caittractor.jpg

Hi winston1, THANK YOU! I started up the tractor today and adjusted the spring as much as i could on the three point control lever, as you suggested. The cutting deck didnt once slip into an upright position while we were cutting the hay. The rod problem still exists but we have a usable solution to using the tractor, as is! I hope you have a GREAT! Day... MANY THANKS Cait
