Yanmar 2010 alternator conversion

Is there a simple kit to convert over to an alternator. Alternator and brackets, wiring diagram .....

Where did you get your mounting brackets. The flat stock in particular. What size square stock did you use. Aside from the wire that goes to the starter/battery, did you connect the other wires to the regulator plug or did you connect to the fuse box or some other place.
I haven't been able to find my fuse box yet �� .

The flat bar was just a piece of 1/4" scrap. I used a torch to cut the shape.

The square stock was 1" od.

It has been two years and my old mind cannot remember just how I hooked up. The earlier attached thread will give all the information I remember. Neat 1500 and others are very knowledgeable on electrical and I am sure will help you.

Your fuse box in sort of left of the steering wheel and under the dash.

Finally, unless you are having unusual trouble or need lot's of juice I would advise against making the change. It is tricky getting the alternator in the available space. It can be done . :thumbsup:

Thanks Winston. I'm going to replace the regulator for now and see how long it lasts. The regulator I took out looks to be the original one. It has a Japan markings on it.

Would any rs5101 regulator work. I can get one off eBay for 36 bucks or tractor supply has them for around 70 bucks.
