Welcome aboard. You would want to run your mower at 540rpm. Most folks achieve that by putting your pto in 1st gear and running your engine around 2200rpm. I believe your 1st speed (540) is with the lever down. Somebody correct me if I have it wrong. I beleive your speeds are 547, 709, 929, 1232 with engine around 2200. I am not positive on this but doubt it will be far off. You need an over run clutch for your mower if you don't have one. You could run your engine at 1676rpm in 2nd pto range to achieve 540 mower rpm. Just be careful not to lug your engine.

There are numerous parts dealers that frequent this forum. Hoye has an ad at the top of the page. You can google and pick up more. They sell the manuals and you can sometimes get them on ebay.

Yes 540 should be 1st gear pto at 2200 rpm your tach may even have the scales on it? You definitely need an overrun clutch $50 at most farm stores.

And since your tractor is a powershift I can advise another technique some of us use and is nice way to get going w/o a big lurch letting out the clutch and having to start the pto load and also get the tractor moving.

This works great especially with a tiller and with a mower its nice also but you can shift from neutral into low using the powershift lever not using the clutch (the key phrase) with the mower etc spinning and then just shift up as you need too.

If you are tilling you can pretty much have the engine at the 2200 rpms and move the PS lever w/o using the clutch because you will be in a real low main box gear however with a mower you will most likely want to start out at a lower rpm so as not to have a big jolt but you can experiment and see what works best for you.

And you can use the clutch just the same as any gear drive tractor just as easily so you have more choices since its a powershift is what I am getting at! Welcome to the group btw.
