Yanmar 2400
Hi,

Maybe someone out there can help me with identifying my latest tractor I just bought. It is a Yanmar 2400 Super Forte. The valve cover has these marks on it.
3TXB82-U
20
2400
2575
1.394

The block has nW7 5 2 28 83 casting marks on it.

I would like to know the HP, year, if it has a model number like SM 2400. It has a front end loader, and says it was made in Japan. The 2 side panels for the hood are missing so I have to make new ones of some kind. Was told it was not a refurbished model but I don't know. It had been setting in a barn for years and has 50 hours on it. There are 4 rows of numbers on the hour meter so it's unlikely it has turned over and gone back to 50 hours. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tommy

I would say it's 24 HP. That's about all I can tell you about your tractor. These are newer than the YM models that most of us have

That is sure a new engine designation to me. I think "Super Forte" has been used by yanmar on numerous different series of tractors. My ym2002d had that insignia on the grill until I broke it. Any chance of pictures?

The equivalent information for my F215 is
Year 1988
Engine number 3TNB82-RN
Engine capacity 1394cc
Engine power 25hp
PTO power 21hp at 2500rpm

I think that you have an earlier engine version equivalent to the F20 ie PTO power is 20hp at 2400rpm

My F215 has Super Forte written on the front grill

I think I have it narrowed down to a FX model somewhere between FX20D, FX22D, or possibly a FX24D. From what I have been able to find out the X in FX stands for power shift. As I am able to shift gears while moving, I think this is what "power shift" refers to. I forgot to mention it is 4WD and has a 4 speed PTO. The rear tires are 8.3 X 24 and the front are 6 X 14. It sat up for a number of years with a locked motor due to being in a flood in west Georgia. It has a label underneath that reads Made In Japan. I'm sure the missing panels would tell me but they were lost years ago. It also has Super Forte written on the front grill.

Yea power shift is yanmars shift on the go. I was thinking g this thing sounded. Like an Fx model. Most of us are ym guys as there older and cheaper, and those FAX models had a premium on them.

I don't even remember Fredricks having a FX model on the lot when I bought my YM 8 yrs ago

If your thinking FX series then according to your findings on the engine tag it would be an FX20D. 20 pto horsepower, 23.5 or 24 engine horsepower.
