I see the leveling cylinder but that is not what I was asking about. I was wondering what the pieces of metal are on the lower lift arms?

Oh sorry. He welded them on there for suport not that he needed it. He only had a 4' mower and boxblade and tiller.

Stiffeners added to resist bending. I could use stiffeners like that welded under my YM240's arms. I bent one trying to drag the tractor sideways with the backhoe.

But on the other hand - it was simple to pound the lift arm back straight on an anvil. (Repairing all kinds of user stupidity is simple on these early models! :)) If it had been reinforced then I might have ripped the lift-arm pivot out of the transmission instead.

Its a hyl cylinder for down pressure for tilling and boxblading. Yea the syrup bucket is odd but hey it keeps the rain out:laughing:, it covers the controls for the 3pt lift cylinder. Im gona get it cleaned up and put it on the market.

you won't get down pressure from that cylinder. It just raises or lowers the right side in relation to the left.
