YANMAR 3110D POWER STEERING LEAKING OUT STEERING TUBE

HAS ANYONE HAVE OR KNOW OF THE PROBLEM WITH THE YM 3110D WITH FATORY POWER STEERING.. GOT A LEAK AT THE TOP OF THE STEERING WHEEL TUBE. THE BEST I CAN TELL THERE ARE ABOUT TWO SEALS IN THE STEERING TUBE? ANY HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM ?

Your actual source of the leak is going to be in the steering box. Interesting it would leak out the steering wheel as there is a weep hold right above the gearbox as shown here. This thread might help you understand it a little better. Yanmar Tractor Support Message Board

I have that same system on my 2002d and have always been concerned because there are no drawing, etc. on these gearboxes that I am aware of. Hopefully an o-ring or two might fix it?

I have PS on my 3110, but have never had any problems with it. I suspect you are going to have to disassemble the unit any replace all the seals inside the unit. Don't know how many 3110 tractors came with PS, but it was an option. I could have bought with or without PS. I'm glad I bought the PS after adding the loader

Going to attach a couple of parts drawings. One of an FX24D gearbox and the other of a YM820 hydraulic parts. May or may not help you understand it better but there will be no charge.

THANKS TO ALL REPLIES..I HAVE REMOVED THE STEERING TUBE AND FOUND THE SEAL BAD,,THE SEAL NUMBER IS 20 X 35 X 7. WE SELL THE SEAL AT M&M AGRI PARTS,LLC (843) 250-4865

Glad u got it fixed... Figured there had to be a bad seal somewhere in there. I've never had a problem with my PS

Are you saying replacing an oil seal repaired the leak?? Just asking because oil seals are not used in pressure situations.
