yanmar 33tne88 wont start without help

My Mini-ex has a 3 cylinder yanmar 33tne88. It wont start without help from gas, starting fluid or wd-40. I cleaned the tank, changed the filters, new fuel lines, new lift pump, new head gasket and valve job, and new fuel injectors, and it still wont start. New battery, turns over pretty fast and wont start with a jump box either. I don think its getting fuel, When it does run it doesn't smoke at all, Im thinking i need the injection pump rebuilt but I am stumped and want to fix it so i can sell it. It is a gehl model 292 year 2000. i would appreciate any help

Is it getting fuel? Are you bleeding the fuel lines? You will destroy your pistons with starting fuel, etc.

it gets fuel only when u get it started. I started using off road diesel in a spray bottle to start it but like i said you can turn it over and over and when it starts no smoke so when it is turning over i would guess its not getting fuel. I was told if it runs at all the system has no air in it. there is 1900 hrs on it which isnt many, it should go to about 4000 before a rebuild and the guy i got it from took very good care of it, i know this because he has been a family friend for many years. When it is running i can take the cap off the return line from the injectors and no fuel comes out but if i press the plunger on the lift pump without it running it will shoot out like a cannon. i was told about the starting fluid and pistons so i stopped using it and went to the wd 40 or a 2 stroke gas mix. It only needs a touch to fire up, but it just wont on its own. could it be low injection pump pressure?

The gas, starting fluid and WD-40 starting aids wash the lubrication from the cylinder walls resulting in excessive compression ring wear and ultimately the loss of compression needed for starting unaided. If it continues to run after starting with the use of your starting aids, you can safely assume you are getting fuel to the cylinders - just not enough compression for starting when cold. Does it restart without help after you have had it running for a while? I had a truck fleet with Detroit 6-71 engines. Several were ruined by improper use of ether for starting. They acted exactly as I described above.

No it wont restart when it warms up. when we took the head off the mechanic put diesel in the cylinders and checked it for leaking through the rings and he said compression was good nothing blowing back through, and he adjusted the valves according to yanmar specs. the cylinder walls were also good and no wear ring at the TDC of all the pistons. I have started it bout a dozen times with starting fluid, never a spray directly in the intake, the fumes just have to get sucked in and it fires

I am going to pull an injector and turn if over to see if im getting fuel. I did it before with the old injectors and didn't get fuel, so thats why i got new injectors but same problem. I think i don't have enough fuel pressure until it fires then gets some RPMS then it runs

could there be air in it even if it runs? Whats the best way? all the bleeding screws are stripped on the top filter,

there might be a a leak so that it gets airbound at shutdown

changed filters and cleaned tank. bled system, put 0ff road in a spray bottle and sprayed it into the intake and it fired right up, injection pump isnt putting out pressure i think
