Yanmar backhoe attachment

If there is a trick to hooking up the backhoe to my yanmar 424 I must be missing it. that thing is a royal pain .its easy enough to unhook it and even reattach if it was left on a perfectly flat floor , but disconnect it for the winter even on a flat floor and the stabilizers splay our and the hydraulics all relax and the backhoe is nowhere near in the right spot to reattach .i have to chain , pin , and ratchet strap everything to prevent it ftt try on moving even then it痴 a pain . Just venting here but thought someone might have a suggestion

Get close and attach the hyd lines and reposition the backhoe....

this sounds good in theory but when you start moving the backhoe with the hydraulics it throws off the alignment of the tractor . Bottom line here I think is to make sure it’s perfectly level when disconnected.this year my mistake was leaving it on uneven ground

That's they way I hooked it up on the jd770 , once you do it a few times it gets easy..

I park my backhoe attachment on a slope because that's all I have available. It does make mating it to the tractor harder because the BH moves to the side as I raise it with the stabilizers. But it moves consistently so I compensate by positioning the tractor a little to that side.

When you take off the BH, put it on blocks. That will stop the leak down. When you are ready to hook it up, line the tractor up as close as you can, then hook up the hydraulic lines to raise / lower / reposition. Practice makes perfect. I can get my BH on or off in about 5 minutes now, used to take 15-20 minutes before.

It's the same with mine, I park the backhoe in my shed, uneven ground. It takes some jostling with the hydraulics to move it this and that way, so that it lines up perfect with the tractor. And I don't mean just curling bucket or moving the dipper, and adjusting the stabilizers. I have the boom (side to side) pinned during storage, but unpin it when mounting the hoe because I find I have to play around with side to side movement as well to get it lined up. If you're parking the backhoe on uneven ground, also means your tractor is on uneven ground, so basically means you have to have everything unevenly even.

Works with mine.
Between the boom, stabilizers and swing I can line my backhoe up where it needs to be.

I used to put mine in a shed with blocks under it and hooked to a permanent chain in the rafters of the shed.

Learning curve attaching the backhoe after sitting off my Kubota B26. Stored on dirt floor. Manual says to block it up when you remove it. At first I wasn’t doing that and it was hard to have the lines connect and align. Built a heavy pallet from timbers to rest/store the backhoe on. Now easy to align and connect to now. Pallet has enough surface area to easily make align adjustments with the backhoe to make connecting easy.
