Yanmar ym2000
I would like to buy a or some books for my ym2000. what would you recomend, owners manual, parts, service. I like to do all my own wrenching so I am thinking service. Who are the best sources and are the US versions ym240 the same?
Thank you to all members who respond present and past posts. There is a wealth of info here and I enjoy reading them.
Good Day

The service manual will probably be the US YM240. You want the Japanese parts manual as well. Shows all the parts with part numbers. There are several dealers who frequent here that can supply you with both.
Danny Parker, Len Sheaffer, Hoye Tractor, Gary Jamison (I think).......just to name a few.

An excellent mechanic's manual not yet mentioned is I&T's manual #YM-1 for the US Yanmars. It covers everything, even complete teardown. There is also a Yanmar reference CD containing reprints of YM240 Operation, YM2000 Parts etc. I got the I&T and the cd from Ebay before I discovered TBN - now I would recommend buy what you need from the dealers who participate here.

A YM240 is a YM2000 with some different options to adapt to American taste or safety rules. The hand throttle linkage has a pivot so you push the throttle to accelerate. It came with a ROPS and adjustable width wheels. The pto has only 540 and 1000 rpm. YM240 kept the green paint after they went to integrated headlights, while YM2000 switched to red paint at that time. Also English labels, manuals, and dealer support stuff. I can't think of any other differences. They are essentially the same tractor.

nicolas,
The YM135D is the U.S. equivalent of the YM1100D.

P.S. When asking a question like this, it is better to start a new thread rather than adding to an existing one with a different subject.

Thanks again to TBN for the info. Hay California Thanks for the video link on your post It does capture the hard rap of the Yanmar tractor(that I was so worried about).
