F15D Yanmar
Hello everyone. First tractor I have ever owned. I bought the Yanmar F15D and everything seems to work just fine. Only problem is can't read the controls. I have figured out most of the controls but would like some specs.

I know I can buy a manual but I have been out quit a bit of money so far. I paid $3500 for the tractor with the tiller. Looks like the tiller hasn't been off the tractor for some time. Had a very hard time getting the pto shaft free from the u-joint assembly.

Anyway, would someone be willing to send me some pdf copies of the user manual. I don't expect the whole book, just maybe specs on oil levels, what each knob does, etc.

Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to TBN. I am sure that someone with an "F" model can help you out temporarily. You can buy the owner's manual, that is the one with all the capacities and "this does that" kind of information. Hoye has it listed as translated and available for $35. Yanmar Owners Manual In English: Yanmar Tractor Parts

Probably with your tractor you have the automatic depth control. Mickey and Ernie are the resident experts on that function. Enjoy your new tool.

Welcome to the family of Yanmar owners!

Hoye also has decal sheets that are in english that makes it much easier to learn the controls...under 20 bucks.

I picked up an F16d last summer and absolutely love it. I put a Koyker 80 FEL and Power steering on it this fall. It's a great, tough little tractor. Can't beat the turning radius either.

If you take a picture of your dash & post it, I'll mark it up for you tomorrow night with what is what.

BTW - I think you got a great deal. I paid $5,000 for my F16 with a woods Mid-mount mower

Just asking, how did you obtain you FEL. How much, etc. Did you install yourself?

I have been thinking of installing a FEL later on when IRS sends me my money back.

I'll try to post some pics later today. I have figured out most of the controls but there are a few I would like some clarification on.

BTW I posted some pics on a new thread just for fun. Doesn't show the controls but shows a little about the tractor.

Just took a look of your tractor from the link. Your machine looks a lot different than mine. If you can post a couple pics of the controls you are not sure about, I'm sure some of us here can help.

The wheelbase is so short on these F series models one needs to pay attention to the size of a FEL you mount on them. If the bucket is very far out in front of the tractor, due to weight transfer, you'll have your front end overloaded very quickly.

Hope you enjoy and get as much use out of your as I do mine.

Keep us up to date on your F15, I am finding myself looking more seriously at this model, rather than the 1500d as I like the short wheel base and its still a 4x4 model. I myself dont need FEL ablities so thats not a problem. Hopefully by april or may I will be in the finiancial position to purchase one. Mike

Here's the thread of when I put the FEL on my F16d.

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/customization/111059-power-steering-fel-yanmar-f16.html

After some very good opinions on here, I put a Koyker 80. However, Koyker didn't have a kit for the 80 to fit my F16, they only had a kit for the 120. So, I ended up making my own. I'm glad I did make my own, as I was then able to keep my Mid-mount mower also. The 120 would have just been entirely too big for my little tractor. Everything I did is in the thread.

You'll love the F15. If it's anything like my F16, it's a great little tractor.
