A. Called a water separator, should have a screen in it.
B. fuel filter
D. Fuel pump
E. Called engine stop or "motor assy stop"

2. low coolant in overflow bottle
3. oil pressure
Don't know about 1 and 4. Just wondering if 4 could indicate pto engaged?

X. Power steering reservoir and should not be cloudy.

Don't know about the button you pushed but would think you have a horn button. Is it in another location? Can you find a horn on the tractor?

Thank you! I will go change the power steering fluid asap. What type of fluid should go in there? From what I have read some say ref ATF fluid, others say hydraulic fluid. Thoughts?

I am trying to do my research as fast as I can, but if someone can help save me some time, what type of fluid should I use for the whole tractor?
1. Engine oil type
2. Power steering fluid type
3. Hydraulic lift system (Is this the same fluid reservoir as the power steering shown in the picture marked X?) Or does the FEL and 3 point get their fluids from the transmission or even a 3rd place?
4. Transmission fluid type
5. What weight gear oil for the front differential?
6. Does the rear differential use its own separate oil or does it get fluid from the transmission?

So many questions!! But I will be na expert soon. I am about to take the 3 point lift off because the o-ring on the lift piston leaks so I have to replace that.

I would just use the same transmission/hydraulic fluid in the the power steering. Just my opinion, doesn't make it correct.

Fluid & Oil Types

Transmission sump supply's all hydraulics except power steering. Same sump for rear differential.

Great that helps!

So I will get 15W40 Diesel oil. Shell Rotella is what I already use I'm my other cars so that is excellent.

I will use 90 weight oil for the front diff, and I will look for JD303 "Hydraulic/Transmission" oil from local tractor supply.

Thank you again!

There is a filter inside the water separator and a spring. However, the parts manual does not show there is supposed to be a filter in there. And the top of the housing is not flat, there is no where for the filter to seat to, so basically its just floating around in the fuel doing nothing. The manual does list a "float".

Should I remove the filter and just leave the cup empty? Or try to locate a filter of some sort?

1 might be park brake (my YM14 has this and it flashes when on) and 4 looks turbo related, possibly max boost?
