Yanmar Grey Market Manuals

I will post this on other sites, also.... I have a YM3810D. It is supposedly a 'grey market' tractor here in the US. The Yanmar dealers/refurbishers all tell me that the parts and service manuals are unavailable in English. Only Japanese. I just got it through my head after staring at the tractor for a couple of weeks that ALL the gauges and knobs have either cast or formed or printed/painted words in English with NO Japanese. Actually, there are NO Japanese markings anywhere on my tractor except on a faded decal on the loader bracket. There are no legible decals left so I cannot check them. I see in the catalogue that some of those decals have both English and Japanese. Does anyone understand this thing with the manuals vs the markings on the tractor? Maybe you folks out of the US in English speaking countries can get the right manuals? (My 'grey Market' Mitsubishi MT2501D has ALL Japanese markings on it.) :confused2: I recently traded a '97 Chevy Tahoe for this Yanmar and am attempting to bring it back to a completely functional life so it would be great if I could find a little info in English as there seem to be no Japanese speaking/reading folks in my neighborhood.

The folks at Hoye tell me that the 'Service Manual' for my YM3810D is NOT available in English. I purchased the other two manuals and the parts manual is in Japanese with English numerals. THAT I can use because of the exploded views.

If Hoye says it doesn't exist it doesn't exist. They have made a business of supporting the grey market yanmar. I see why they would have failed to find or sell a manual for these models in English if one existed. That just would not make any sense?? Aaron is a member here and may chime in?

BUT if they were availible in aulstralia I think Hoye would have found that out buy now and purchased a supply of them or would let us know that they supoosey are floating around AU or whatever.

Read the specs. If it is a gray market tractor you will be sent the closest US model. Most are not close enough to be of use. i'm sure the YM3810 is one. A YM240 manual for the YM2000 works great.

I don't think the 3810 was ever sold new in an English speaking country so there are no English manuals in print for it. The YM336 manual will be extremely close. It has virtually the same engine and the majority (maybe all?) of the drivetrain is the same. The only major difference is the 3810 has a turbo.

I bought my manual from Hoye several yrs ago. I have a 3110D.
The 3110, 3810 are pretty much the same tractor. Your 3810 will have turbo.
Mine does not.
The 336 manual Hoye sells is all you need
