Yanmar/John Deere crossreferences

Where can I find a document that crossreferences the Yanmar models with the John Deere equivalents? I've surfed the net and haven't found them. I think ssbtractors may have the doc, but their web pages aren't working.

I can't say for certain, but I was under the impression the Yanmar Deere's (like my 790) are built to Deere specs by Yanmar. If that is the case, there may not be a direct correlation between the two.

I believe it's a common misunderstanding that the Deere made by Yanmar is the same parts as a Yanmar grey market. As pointed out, the Deere are made to Deere's specs, not Yanmar's painted green. So I don't believe there are cross references for interchange of parts, for the most 'part'.
Deere has been working with Yanmar for years, and one can bet that the deal would go down that Yanmar wouldn't be able to sell the same tractor off the line with Yanmar's choice of color.
Not sure what "Yanmar" you have or where it came from, but something gives you the indication the parts are interchangeable. Could you let us in on what that 'something' is? Thanks

As others have said, there is no such document. There are similar tractors, and some interchangable parts, but only someone familiar with both JD and Yanmar parts would be able to identify them.

John Deere (the corporation- not the dealers) does have a Deere to Yanmar part number interchange of some sort. When Deere runs out of a part they post the Yanmar part number on a part locator website that their dealers can access. I know this because we get many calls from Deere dealers looking for a discontinued Deere part. They always give a Yanmar part number.

The part number crossover database is out there but they won't share. If someone from Deere would like a new best friend they could send it to me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks to all for the input. I was aware prior to my post that the two brands weren't 1:1 on all of the parts. The question came up b/c in other posts, I've seen people (esp Veteran members) mention approx crossreferences on models. For me, it just helps to know what the approximate equivalent is in a JD. Some people I run into aren't aware that Yanmar makes engines/components for compact JDs to JD's specs. They just assume compact JDs are 100% American made.

Of all the Yanmars I have dealt with, the YM2500 to JD850 is the closest to a cross I have seen. Other than the obvious, PTO and tires.
