Thanks for everyone's help with the purchase of my NEW 1401d. It is a great tractor and I allready love it. Purchased it with the eye of resale as I got a good deal. BUT I have been thinking. Now I do not need two tractors. Both are great in their own right. The beaver, small easy to get around, has scrape blade and mmm and the fel. Yanmar, great 3 cyl. smooth better allaround with more capibilities and has the woods finish mower. I know I will get biased opinions here on the yanmar fourm. Just thought I might ask. FYI I find myself making plans for the yanmar.:confused:

I would sell the beaver and buy a loader for the Yanmar. Then again, I like my Yanmar:D

Don't know much about the beaver. But I would say, there would be better parts for the yanmar than the beaver

Both look like good machines. Every man needs an extra tractor.....I'd keep both and tell my wife they're needed to balance the shop out. If that didn't work......I'd tell her we need two tractors since we have two kids.....wouldn't be fair to leave just one of the kids a tractor when my time is up!

Jerrybob gets the prize. Its a wife thing. Why don't they understand. Afterall she has dozens of pairs of shoes. Ha Ha Ha. Actually the wife is pretty good about this sort of thing. I did buy the yanmar after telling her that I could make some money on it. She shoud know better after 15 years married to me. After all she knows where I am when I am working on a tractor.

I would think of it as having a "spare" tractor. When one breaks down you have another to take its place while you fix it.:D IMO I would keep the yanmar, parts are more available, it appears much larger than the beaver, and it has the finish mower.
