yanmar with very little hydraulic pressure

I replaced filter,pumpan cleaned screen. When iturn the steering wheel I have some hydraulic. Lift on frt.loader an pro. Is there a chance something is wrong with power steering unit? Any help is appreciated, jerry

what filter did you use.i put wrong type of filer on a yanmar. and that happened to me. i used paper when i should metal screen type spin on

FHI used yanmar oem filter,ichecked pressure at control valve and had 850psi.
Iwas told the steering unit received fluid first before any fluid goes to the rear control valve
this is why I think I am losing flow through steering unit.

That pressure only means that there is some resistance to the hyd flow. What were you doing when you read that pressure? If you were raising an empty bucket, that would be about normal. To test the pump/valve relief pressure, fully extend the lift cylinders or curl cyl. What position is the 3pt lever? If it is fully raised, lower it a little.

Is there a valve that splits the hyd flow so priority flow goes to steering, and the rest goes to FEL and 3pt?

There is a spliter valve off the pump that feeds the steering pump first an them feeds the pto an fel.we have removed an cleaned the valve, no change

I still can't get any hydraulic pressure unless I turn the steering wheel, can anybodyhelp this newbe, I have a yanmar 336d.
