Another question, the brinly cat 0 plow doesnt have the downward reach to work on my YM135's cat 1 hitch using the 1-0 bushings, just skims the surface with the 3pt all the way down. Most cat 1 plows I see seem way to large for this small tractor. Any suggestions? Thanks Mike

Hey Mike, you got a photo of your tractor? Not familiar with the 135 tractor, what hp is it. I am a recent proud owner of a 155D. It has a 15hp diesel on it so I am curious about yours. How much difference in size and such. I have a 2 bottom moldboard type plow that I am likely going to use on mine. I figure as long as I keep it up and not let it get too deep mine should be able to handle it. If it had just a single bottom I wouldnt worry about it at all with mine. Thats why I was wondering about the size and such of your tractor.

I think there are differences in sizes of the plow itself---e.g., 10" plow, 12" plow. My dealer sold me one that was too big for my YM226D and I ended up buying a smaller one later. So you're doing the right thing to ask questions and looking into this more carefully.

I have a YM1401D that I am using a brinly 10" sleeve hitch plow with. I took the sleeve hitch off my sears GT and had a 3/8 flat bar stock welded between the arms with holes punched in it to match a drawbar then made the drawbar so it would not swivel. Works as a two point hitch gets down into the dirt about 6-7 inchs. It does a great job on city gardens. The only drawback so far is how far behind the tractor it extends.

I thought about having someone make me one of those "A" frame adapters, like the Cat 0 garden tractors use to change to sleeve hitch mount, then the additional drop I need could be addressed there. Sure wish I had the shop and tools to fab this stuff myself!! I have several sleeve hitch implements including a plow. Mike

I think your problem can be fixed most easily by installing longer links from the liff arms to the lower arms. Maybe just replace the left link with another adjustable link, like your right one and adj both all the way down.
