Honestly, I have had very little experience with the 3110D. It was such a good deal that I didn't want to pass it up but knew that it needed a little work. I brought it home, ran down our wooded trails with the BushHog and pulled the front axle/knuckles apart (due to leaking knuckles that I knew about at purchase). I got the parts (all new bearings and seals for both knuckles) fairly quick and they have been sitting on my workbench ever since. It has been very busy with my job and other home improvements with little time to spare over the past year (at least not enough to start another full-blown project), so I start it regularly to run the engine and cycle the hydraulics and PTO (and usually kick myself for not having it together yet). Today is the first time in a long while that I have even spent much time on TBN in the last year. I just started terminal leave for retirement and will be between careers for a while. I hope to work on it after the next home improvement project of replacing our heat pump system.
The 3110D is almost a little big for my needs but I do like it. I have tinkered with the idea of selling it (after getting it back together) and my smaller 1500D (Green) and putting the money toward a tractor that is sized between the two (24-28HP range with a FEL). I really like both tractors, especially after refurbing the 1500D, but just don't need to have two tractors to maintain. It is a back-and-forth discussion on 'keep or sell' and we'll just have to see after I get it back together, serviced and use it a little.
I will say that the PowerShift on the '10' series is a nice feature over the standard clutch/gear drive of the '00' series. I can definitely see where the dash/column mounted PowerShift selector of the '20' series would be an extra advantage for FEL work.
