This is the Yanmar YQM 60 belly mower that came with my YM226 tractor.
I found that these mowers were made by Continental Belton Co. and spindles and blades are available for them from Ag-Meier Belton tx.
If I'm seeing that correct that's a rear mount / forward facing mid mount belly mower (I know that's a mouth full).. Can't say I seen that configuration before. But there's a lot I haven't seen...:reading:
Yes you back over the mower and it attaches to the 3 point hitch and PTO, with belt drive to the mowing deck, It has chains that hold it up under the belly of the tractor, it also has wheels in the front that I took off to mow up close to a fence.
I like that!! I do a lot of mowing with my YM2000. Right at the same Hp. as your 226, Tractor Data. I know what you mean about getting close to things which is really hard for my Rear mounted FM.. Wonder if hooks up to the 2000. If it does I'll keep an eye out for one that's for sure. But giving up the rear discharge maybe hard to do . Even the Bro. new Zero turn can't come close. Septic tank lines or a lot of rain tall grass etc.. I've seen 2 even 3 passes to get rid of the side Discharge. 1 pass and worst case I may backup and get rid of it. Septic Tank Lines usually if it does happen. I cut my front nine as I call it Weekly this time of yr. and were not all that far apart. I'm in Ga. and on the state line often. Mtn. City, Dillard. A buddy moved back up there from the Athens area Yrs. back... This is my setup and I'm rough on the neighbors trying to keep up with Carey.
I have a 5 ft rear finish mower on the 226 now and am planning to replace blades on the belly mower over the winter. You can see to mow up close with the belly mower better than the rear mower. I really like the low stance of the tractor with the turf tires.
This belly mower could be used on about any small to midsize tractor. There is quite a lot of adjustment in the length from the 3 point to the deck, may have to change belt size.
