This is the latest chapter in my house reno/addition. Spent the last few weekends dropping trees. Hired an excavator to try and make my steep yard into someting a little more useful. He came this past friday, he pulled 23 stumps out for me and carved up my hill of a yard. I even got a little seat time in his CAT backhoe that he let me use to get rid of the pile of stumps, while he was running his D3. And got a lot of seat time on my 2615 also loading stumps and york raking the yard. I took some before and after pics.

Nice! So is it going to stay like that with some nice grass, or is someone gonna make you fill it with dogwoods, redbuds, and such

I have some similar work to look forward to in the future, but I have yet to make it that far down the list. I only hope my place ends up half as smooth when that job finally bubbles to the top!

Thanks, but this excavator is top notch, he put in a long day on friday and came back for 4 hours today(sun.) to finish up. The skies opened up fri. evening and made a nice muddy mess that took allday sat. to dry out enough for him to finish today.
Hopefully i can get some nice lush green grass to grow here. Not planning on any trees. I did cut some down but there are plenty still standing on these 2 acres.

Looks great.

I don't think you'll have much trouble in getting the green grass to grow there. Sprinkle some hay on top of the grass seed to help keep the seed in place and you will be golden.

I would love to rebuild my lawn. I live for healthy green grass.!!
