Hi All,
Is there a way, by looking at serial numbers to tell what year an engine was produced?? I am really curious to find out what year our 1523 falls under.
We bought it in March 2008, and was on the lot in December 2007.
The reason I am asking is the manual lists CC as the oil spec, and I want to know if we can safely run the new spec CJ-4 synthetic oils with out causing any harm.
UPDATE:
Just found the "Factory Recommended PDI dealer check list from Soo Tractor Sweep rake, dated 6-19-07. I assume this was the year it was built? So CJ-4 oil is what we should run??
