Only in Texas? Probably not...but you have to admit they have something to sell for anytime of the year.

Now, if we can just figure out what to sell in a donut shop in the afternoon, we can make money there all day long too.

We had a guy put in one of those sno-cone shacks at the gas station down the road. I figures it was a bad idea and never stoped. Steph thougtht it was a great idea and took the kids. They all loved it and it became a regular stop for them last year. I have to admit that those were some very tastey sno-cones and I'm looking forward to it opening up again this year!!!

Thats a good one Jim. You really have to wonder how hot those tamales are. I'll bet they help the snow cone sales. :D

I bet the neighbors really like having a Snow-Cone Shack on their street. In Connecticut you can not have a Lemon-aid stand without first going through Planning & Zoning and spending ~$1,000 in permits just to get started. You have to go through the Board of Health, Wetlands committee, Planning & Zoning, Fire Commissioner then onto the Building Inspector to get a permit. After you see each officer, some may want to schedule a site visit to inspect.

This sno-cone stand is in Colleyville, TX, right at the corner of Main Street and Colleyville Blvd . It's one of the most prestigious cities in this area with it's fair share of multi-million dollar homes and building restrictions all over the place. My wife and I both think this little stand must have been here for many, many years since she can remember it from when she was a little girl. If this property ever changes hands, I'd bet the stand will have to be torn down.

Small world when I was working with Johnson & Johnson Medical I was going to move to Colleyville, looked at Grapevine as well. Love the beef at the stockyard!! People there are very friendly :)

In Willis, Texas we have an AM Donut Stand/PM Liquor Store. Same building, same owner, different front doors.

I was thinking about a PM tanning salon, but I'm sure that has already been done.

Wouldn't it be funny to have a health club and donut shop in the same place?:p Maybe a Jennie Craig...:D
