Here an update on the Continuing SAGA of the JD log Splitter.

1) Installed the plug in the Control Valve to make it a Closed Center.
2) Hooked the hoses to one of the dual QC remotes. It moves but pressure was erratic. (Max pressure 500 psi)
3) Moved hoses to the other QC remote and TA-DA. 2200 psi and the splitter busted a knotty log in a few seconds.

The #1 remote must be bad or the QC need replacing. I hope it's the QC, so it doesn't cost me an arm & a leg.

Thanks for everyone's help. ---Thom

Glad you got it fixed.

If you had put a gage in the QD's as suggested, you would have found the problem earlier.

Why a new thread?
Does this tie back to another on-going thread? Might be nice to link to it, at least, to get the whole story (better yet, to add to the other thread, presumming there is one :) )

Too bad you wasted all this time and money on a new valve and cylinder for something as simple as a bad Quick Connect.
