After purchasing a Yerf Dog Scout CUV from Sam's Club the rear axil snapped. The company was going through bankruptcy at the time and I could find no one to do warranty service for lack of parts. I finally contacted the company to send me the part at my expense, and you could guess they sent the wrong part. So I currently have a dissabled vehicle. Anyone know of an outlet for a rear axil for the yerf dog scout cuv model #34800 part#179-4 04-08-C? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yikes! I didn't know they were going south. I bought one of their units from tractor supply last year. Are they going to disappear? or reorganize? I bought the extra 3 year warranty as well... wonder who is servicing that?????

Let me know how / what you find... I havn't met any other yerf-dog owners.

Also.. how did you break the axle if you don't mind me asking... I'd like to know so I don't do it myself.

It went through a little rough-ridding with the kids around the property, but not so much that you'd expect something to break--I'd suspect with the lack of rear suspension, a few times being fully loaded in the back along with hitting some bumps started a crack going, and then further normal use just finished it off. Unfortunately, this does seem to be a relatively common break for this particular model--I've seen at least two other cases of it posted elsewhere, but they happened early enough that company was able to send them the /correct/ replacement axel. I tracked down a rear suspension kit for it at KartAccessories.com--decently priced too, but i have no idea how difficult it'd really be to install or how well it'd work. Hope this helps!

--Oh, and your 3-year warranty should at least get you a refund on your money if ever anything did break and it wasn't repairable. I kinda wish I got that myself...

Any idea if they will be staying in business or going out.

Now my concern is who to buy air filters from?? Ideas?

thanks

The Yerf Dog name is simply Godfrey in reverse, apparently this fellow Mr. Godfrey is coming back out with a similar machine with a new name. If you surf around the net looking for CUVs you will likely find it, I dont think the mechanicals are terribly different...might uncover a new parts source.
