Tires YM 1500D Wheel Spun Off

This is a follow-up from what happened yesterday. I have a "Grey Market" Yanmar 1500D Diesel and it is 4wheel drive. As you can see the wheel spun off and I am not much of a mechanic. I am looking for a manual layout for this so I will know how to take it off and repair it. I have the pic of each part inside of the 4wheel drive box but not sure of how or what it will take to take it apart and put it back together. Times are tough and can't hardly afford a repairman. But if you are knowledgeable of how to repair and want help out, the wife said she will fix you a good meal. I have all the tools including Air Tools. I live in the Denver area for all those who want to know..

Little to far for most of us to drive up there but we are free with advice. I know you said you have a parts manual but here is an on line jobber from Hoye tractor. There is a red and a green 1500 and the 4 wheel drive is a little different on them. Is yours red or green? Yanmar Tractor Parts: 4WD_INTERNAL_R

You haven't stated just what is broken on yours but a good chance you will have to separate the knuckle. Another good article by hoye that might help you.Yanmar Tractor Parts

SOOO ... this is not a very good description, did the lug nuts just fall off and the wheel "spun" off and rolled away? Just jack the tractor up and put it on? Or it this something to do with 4wd and it not working?

How did you find that smoody?


I see from the pics the spindle came off with the tire. Looks like your front hub came apart. The gears and bearings may be missing or in the field. You need to identify what your missing and then just look at your manual and tighten it all back togeather.

Or you can buy a total replacement from Hoye tractor, not the cheapest but the easiest, may only be a few bolts that hold that hub togeather. Call the guys at hoye and see if they have any used parts tractors with the front hubs in them.


Just curious if your not much of a mechanic why and how "do you have all the tools needed, including air tools" most un mechanically inclined folks dont have all those tools?

I just happen to come across it, I look for yanmars daily in my local region craigslist, after reading that ad I remembered a thread on here about a wheel falling off, then came here and seen he posted the same description as the ad. just coincidence.

This is really strange thing is the guy leaves no contact number on here if he is not planing on returning to the board which it looks like so far or has not been back here to post? Even in the CL add Smoody posted there is only the auto reply email feature to get intouch?
