Too bad you aren't closer..... i'd try to sell you my minty YM186D ! I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Yanmar.... parts will be no harder to get than for a Deere. They are great tractors for the money, and will give you many years of trouble free service.

Does this tractor really suit you and your needs? Do you fit OK on it for example?

4 years ago I paid $7900 for my 1602D 4X4 (Red, 83 or 84 model), with FEL, Box Blade, tiller and 4' brush hog. The hour meter showed 74 hours, which I did not believe to be accurate (unless it was 1074). It was in good shape, needing only some of the usual maint (oil change, air filter, fuel filter, fan belt, etc) and has worked for me without fail ever since.....I would not worry about the parts, they're easy to get and reasonably priced, I'd simply make sure this is the right tractor for the work you want to do....and of course, that it's in good condition now. Have you started it, driven it, operated the lifts and such?

I believe you will find the JD 650 was made by Yanmar. And you can probably get parts quicker and cheaper for the Yanmar, than one that was sold by Deere.

I don't know where I got the idea that there was a lot of white in the color scheme. This is a photo of this tractor. I offered the guy 2.5k, which he promptly turned down. It just isn't worth more than that to me. I would rather save my money and get something a little larger and newer.

A red one on ebay that I personally looked at was sold yesterday for $21 hundred and some change. Had about 550hrs and looked as good as this one.
