My wife and I visited Sweden a couple of years ago and we loved the country up there. I have a 1510D the grey market equivalent of the 186D and have a manual (not for sale), but I have found that there are many differences in the areas that I have had to work on or want to modify (namely the hydraulic connections, and the front axle.

I got mine from a dealer in the States. A friend was returning from the States and brought it to me. I do not know of a source here in Europe that sells the Service manual, but that does not mean that it does not exist.

I may be able to help with a few scanned pages from my manual, if you will say exactly what you want to know.
The filter is a very common one used in Honda cars and motorcycles. This is a list of applications that use the WIX 51334 you can take examples from this to a auto parts store and get a filter.

thanx!!!

i have a leak on the front right tire (behind)...it has neon green colour some kind of hydraulic fluid for 4wd? confusing... and im curious about the specs on the 186d how much flow there is in the hydraulic system, engine stats that kind of info. if i can put a 3 point loader on the back ,how much weight can it carry on 3 point back before its critical

thx for ur participation in my problems :D
i found a cheap 3p loader on the back.

The front axle should have gear oil in it--85w/90. It may have a "neon green" color, but it is most distinguishable by its odor. Is it leaking from around the hub by the tire? Maybe post a picture of the leaking area and I will get a few pages scanned for you.

The hydraulic system puts out about 18.2 liters/minute, at 140 kg/cm2. 3pt lift at 60 cm behind lift maximum 420 kg.

Engine 3T72HA 879 cc 18hp at 2600 RPM.

I will try to copy the section dealing with the front axle. if that is what you need.

I have the 3-point backhoe originally sold with my larger YM240 (YM2000). I think it weighs about 350kg. I was advised by experienced dealers on here that a hoe this heavy can tear the back out of the transmission if I hit a bad bump and it bounces while I am driving around. Its weight is at the limit of what my 3-point can lift.

A backhoe that mounts to its own subframe under the tractor prevents this extreme stress on the 3-point parts. That is how larger backhoes are mounted on the larger tractors.

For your smaller YM186D (I have one also), I think you need a subframe for any backhoe.

The front axle oil is the same 90 weight gear oil used in rear truck axles and many manual transmissions. It has a special smell.

The fluid shared between the Yanmar transmission and hydraulic system is much thinner, similar to 20 weight motor oil. Research 'Universal Tractor Fluid' (UTF) or 'Equivalent to John Deere 303' for minimum specifications. Some people use Automatic Transmission Fluid because it flows better in cold climates. A search on here will describe this.

Service and parts manuals are available through Hoye Tractor in Texas. That's where I got mine.....a bit pricey but worth having. They're also good for parts. Have fun:)

That backhoe that fits a bob cat is TOO big and heavy--if you have the flow to run it (probably slowly, BC have 60-100 liters/min) it would be like the tail wagging the dog and will probably hurt your new hobby.

For a back hoe you need a fairly light unit--remember that our tractors only weigh 610 kg so that BH weighs 85% of the tractor weight.

Fluid for the hydraulic system is special tractor oil that is certified to specifications for JD 303. however, I use Dextron ATF in mine with good success. Better flow in the cold--plowing snow and excellent shifting properties for the powershift transmissions.

For a hobby tractor you chose a very nice and dependable tractor that will give years of service if taken care of.

post the pics and I will try to get the manual pages that you need.

Jerry the problem is that he is in Sweden, shipping of that Heavy Service manual would cost as much as the manual itself.

(xcuse my poor english):D

I have information on the YM186D, was a very popular tractor over here in England and throughout in the 80's, in fact in was ahead of it's time in it's day , i was a dealer and used to sell them new....they were the days.

i've attached a exploded scan of the front axle diagram with part numbers if that helps you.

If you need any additional information....just ask

Many Thanks............Regards
