YM 2000 hydraulics

Just bought YM 2000 and it started jerking when lowering and raising 3 point. Called dealer and he said dirty filter screen, which sounds right, but haven,t done yet. How much Hyd. fluid will one hold? Where can I get new filters,manuals,info and such. Does anyone have advise on what to watch out for. Any good or bad news on the 2000.

Not for sure about the 2000 but my 2220 took 5 gal. of fluid when I changed it. Check your draft control for the jerky 3 pt. as I have seen that effect the function. There are dealers here that will contact you for your other questions. Hope this helps. Congrats on your new tractor.

I cleaned the filter today and it works perfect now. The dealer told me it would hold 5 gals. I put in 5 and it is about an 1 inch above the full mark. Will overfilling hurt it. I plan to run for a week then change again to flush more junk out.

In filling any machine with a liquid reservoir, you should forget about how much it holds and just fill it to the full mark. By the way, are you checking with the dipstick screwed in? It should be just sitting on the threads, there is 1" difference.

Yes, I should of filled slow and checked. Does any one know what NAPA filter #'s fit the 2000.Air, oil, and fuel.

Oil filter STP2808
, I use Yanmar filters, however here is a list of filters that were crossed from the Yanmar number.

Oil Filter: Yanmar 119660-35150, Purolator L14459, Fram PH3593A, WIX 51334, AC Delco PF1230

Fuel Filter: Yanmar 104500-55710, Purolator F55174, Fram C7516, WIX 33262, John Deere CH15553

All of these numbers were crossed by the respective manufacturer to reduce the potential problems with "will fit" parts. I also have a NAPA number for both filters, however NAPA was not able (or didn't want to) cross the Yanmar part number.

All of these will work just fine. Napa 1064,1344,1334, Fram ph3593a,ph6811, Carquest 85334,b4459, AC pf1127, Motorcraft fl810, STP s2808, Wal-Mart SuperTech st2808

Today I used the PH3593A because Wal-Mart was out of the ST2808. (my prefered oil filter) The 3593A is about an 1/8" longer. I had to grind away at the bracket that surrounds the filter to make it fit.

Oil could be NAPA 1334, 1064 or 1568. My 2000B has a bracket covering the end of the filter making 1 or more of these too long. Fuel is NAPA 3262 or 3263, compare for length. Air is NAPA 2297, however if you have an original Yanmar filter, they are washable in soap and water and reusable many times over, and very expensive.

Wal-Mart no longer carries the ST2808 but they do have the ST3593a for $1.99. According to the box the SuperTech filters claim to have a better rating than the standard Fram oil filters. Auto Zone carries the STP S2808 made by the same company.
