I'm looking at a YM 240 that I ran across by accident. It needs some engine work( bad piston I was told) the current owner told me that it was a 1946 year model, I wanted to debate that but because I really did not know I found it best not to.Did Yanmar make a YM 240 back then? How hard are engine parts to get for it? I currently own a YM2000BD which I well pleased with, but I thought for the price of $800.00 it might not be a bad deal to own another Yanmar. Any advice?
Thanks

Reid

Sounds like a steal. It is defiantly not a 46, hehe. More like a late (Roger knows more about the US models) 70's. I am sure Len could get you any part you need.

The price is definitely right if it is at all together.

If you decide to buy give me an email as often the least expensive and least troublesome way to repair an engine problem is to replace the engine.

I have engines available.
